Why are solar panels Flat?

Wouldn’t a solar tube be more suited to provide solar energy than a panel? As I understand it the panels must be pointed at the light source in order to harness energy from the sun, wouldn’t a tube always have a surface pointed towards the sun, thus eliminating the need to constantly rotate the panel?

It i about 15 feet wide by 10 feet high. That would be 150 square feet. Would that be enough for a solar panel system that could power a house that us about 15,000 watts a month. That about 500 watts a day.

i want to try some solar power stuff out. the solar panel generates 45 watt DC. the duracell 600 is designed for jump starting your car so it has the standard caples with clamps. i was wondering if you could charge the duracell 600 through its clamps instead of using your wall socket.
